Feel like your heart is heavy? Feeling stuck? He can make you new. Your transformation of the heart is waiting.

“And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.”
EZEKIEL 11:19-20
A new heart and a new spirit. Sign me up!
Self-care is important for us busy mommas, but God’s renewal…that’s the real deal!
God is offering us a true spiritual heart transplant. One heart that is not divided here and there and one that is not undecided and wishy-washy. He is offering us a change that will help us to follow in ALL His ways.
Have you ever met someone with a cold heart? You can just tell that life has beat them down. As we get older it can be harder and harder to keep our hearts warm. The passing of time often brings more and more pain and challenges. As busy moms, it is so easy to get so wrapped up in all the things we need to do that we forget to let our hearts and ears open to listening to our Heavenly Father.
Transformation Takes Diligence
We have to be diligent about our time with Him so we can hear Him, and let Him give us that transformation of heart that I know so many of us long for. Often we get where we no longer embrace life with arms wide open and full of enthusiasm and joy like little children. If we want our children to stay warm and open we have to learn to lean on the strength and transformation only our Creator can give.
What little children have, that we sometimes lose along the way, is faith.
That is how they can fall asleep any and everywhere and trust their parents to take care of their needs.
Do we trust God? Really?
Do we go to sleep trusting Him to keep us safe? Do we greet the day with fresh eyes as we look upon His creation? Do we wake up with gratitude and excitement in our hearts just to be alive?
If not, He is calling us to allow Him to create a new heart and a new spirit within us. To look at life again with wonder and hope. To know our Father God has everything under control.
Our children can teach us that.
To wake up and praise Him even if the sun is not shining, by faith, because we know it will again. God says,
“But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.”
Luke 12:7
I do not know any earthly parent who knows that, no matter how much they love their child. But, our God does.
He is our Creator. He knows everything about us. He created our hearts and He can renew them.
Ponder His Transformative Power
Have I lost my childlike faith? Do I trust my Heavenly Father to handle all the facets of my life? Am I in need of a heart transplant?
Pray for the Transformation Of The Heart
Father God,
Somewhere along the way, with the hurts and toils of life, I have lost my ability to recognize your workings around me. To see the beauty in You and the world you created. To love with a love that only You can give me- a love for You, for myself as Your creation, and for Your people. I need a heart transplant.
Give me a new heart, one like Yours, and refresh my spirit.
Thank you.

It is increasingly hard to see the beauty of this world as it becomes more and more corrupt by the second. Thanks be to God that we can seek Him and He can transform us and enable us to to continue to live our lives for Him despite the evil surrounding us on all sides.
Amen to that Catherine!
