Hey Ya’ll
I’m Hilary.
Momma to a very active baby girl- now toddler. Former preschool teacher turned expat abroad.
Motherhood is hard, isn’t it?! What a beautiful journey though. Welcome to my blog on allowing God’s grace to fill in all the gaps where we feel that we are falling short in motherhood and life. We cannot do it all but we can do all things through Him.
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2 Corithians 12:9
Your Strong doesn’t have to look like someone else’s.
Year’s ago when I was teaching preschool I noticed other teachers that were high-energy and silly. They kept the kids laughing. And that just wasn’t me. So I wondered if I was an inferior teacher. If I needed to be silly and loud and high energy too. But as I taught my class day after day I realized I had a different strength. Calm and peace. And my kids were still having fun and enjoying the time in our class. But they also felt safe. Whatever they were going through at home they could come in and feel the peace that I brought every day.
I could tell the difference if I had to be out and then come back in. The children were just not as focused and peaceful when I wasn’t there. And that taught me something that applies to you. Yes, you Momma.
You have what your children need. You don’t need to be like another mom. You just need to be supported as the mom that you are. And that is what I hope and pray this blog does for you. Supports you in being the momma God has called you to be for your children. And to do it with grace and love and joy. This blog is to be filled with tips for you and your little ones to spend that precious time together, hacks for cleaning and organization so your home refreshes you and your family, and devotionals and pauses of faith so you can be refilled whenever needed. You can’t pour from an empty cup after all.
This space is a space of encouragement and hope for you. Not a space to make you feel like you are not doing enough but one where you know you are enough. So here’s to you Momma in finding your strength.
Let’s journey together.

About Us
I’m a Southern Girl from North Carolina. I moved abroad years ago from the United States with my mom who retired early after working hard so many years as a single mother.
I met my husband, adopted some fur babies, and later we had our beautiful daughter Elliana. I had what some would consider a later pregnancy at 36. A natural and hard 18-hour labor and delivery at a birth center but I would do it all again to get our miracle girl.
Things don’t always happen in our time but God is good and I feel so blessed. I would never have imagined my life like this years ago but now I cannot imagine anything else. Our family is my joy and heart and I thank the Lord every day for allowing me to be a Wife and Mother. I have over 10 years of experience working from home and long to help moms spend quality time with their families while resting in God’s grace during the ups and downs of everyday life.
The days are long and sometimes hard but the years short as they say. May I practice presence with thankfulness and find great joy in motherhood. I invite you to join me.
Much Love, Hilary
