“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
LAMENTATIONS 3:22-23

How thankful I am that the Lord’s mercies are new each morning.
We do not have to wait until January 1st to dream a new dream or seek to implement a new life. There is something about the start of a new year that makes us feel like we have a clean slate. It brings about a sense of hope for positive change. But with the Lord, His mercies are new every day.
Whatever, we went through in the past, we can let go of and begin again.
When we are in the midst of life, especially as busy mommas, down in the trenches, it can be hard to ponder the bigger picture much less feel that renewal of mercies. It can feel like life is just happening to us and not with us or for us.
Maybe it’s time to pause and ponder the mercies of our Heavenly Father. He is good. Maybe it is time to commit to starting again with fresh hope. As we commit to goals and accomplishments let us pause to remember that God speaks in the silence and refreshes our souls through His Word. May we reflect on His goodness in the past and schedule quiet time to spend basking in His mercies. Let’s allow Him to speak to our hearts.
Our Heavenly Father wants to be a part of every aspect of our lives giving mercies and grace.
May we not leave Him behind in our strivings, but take Him with us always.
He is calling out and asking for us to be his intimate friend. For us to spend quality time with Him daily. He longs for us to not just talk at Him, but to listen to what He wants to say. To ponder His goodness. To glorify Him even in times of trouble. Tarry at His promises.
Will you answer His call momma? Don’t leave your Friend behind. He loves you.
Embrace true renewal. The renewal that only our Creator can offer.
A renewal that goes spirit-deep with new mercies every morning.
We may get weak and weary, but our Creator never does. His mercies are new every morning.
Ponder His Mercies:
How can I create space for quality time with my Creator every single day?
Grab your prayer journal and write down your commitment to spend time with your Heavenly friend. Let us dedicate our lives, our motherhood, and our families anew to God and watch what marvelous things He will do. “I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause: Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number” Job 5:8-9
Prayer Time:
Father God,
Forgive me for the times I have neglected You. For getting caught up in the daily cares and toils of life and leaving You behind. Forgive me for being overwhelmed with motherhood because I’m trying to do it in my own strength. I need your mercies. You are waiting to hear from me, to talk to me. I am committed to taking you with me into all aspects of my life. Renew me. Refresh me. Fill me with Your Word and Holy Spirit. Great is Your faithfulness.
Amen
